This course aims to provide its participants with an interdisciplinary view of the impacts that climate change has on society and how we can take action in this decade that the United Nations Secretary-General has designated as the Decade of Action. The first day will be dedicated to introducing what climate science tells us, followed by a day focussed on current climate commitments and policies. The course will close with a third and final day dedicated solely to what a just transition means, and the actions needed for one.
